Over the past few years, it has become obvious that competition law is not the only tool, and perhaps not always the most appropriate one, to discipline market participants. Other regulatory and policy mechanisms, such as consumer protection laws, privacy laws, and taxation have increasingly been called into action with a view to making markets work more efficiently.
Bringing together the expertise of scholars and policy-makers from various disciplines, such as law, economics, computer science, and sociology, the conference aims to advance the debate on how competition law works together and is complemented by other laws and policies.
The conference will be held on September 30. Agenda, more details, and registration can be found here.
