Bridging the accountability gap of artificial intelligence – What can be learned from Roman law?

This is the second podcast we are publishing to promote the accessibility of our research. This podcast discusses the accountability gap problem posed by artificial intelligence. After sketching out
this problem, the podcast turns to ancient Roman law and scrutinises how slave-run businesses dealt with the accountability gap through an indirect agency of slaves. The podcast focusses on the paper ‘Bridging the accountability gap of artificial intelligence – What can be learned from Roman law?’, written by prof. K. Heine and A. Quintavalla.
