History
In 2020 the European Commission awarded Erasmus School of Law, together with the Law School of the University of Leeds (UK) and the Law School of Bar-Ilan University (Israel), with a Jean Monet Centre of Excellence. The Centre was named Digital Governance (DIGOV) and served to promote research and education in the fields of Digital Governance and AI.
After the end of the Jean Monet Centre of Excellence in 2023, the decision was made to continue with DIGOV due to the vital importance of research into the fields of Digital Governance and AI in the current digital age. DIGOV is continued by the Erasmus School of Law and its international partners, the Law School of the University of Leeds (UK) and the Law School of Bar-Ilan University (Israel).
